Stylizations under the picture of Vincent Van Gogh

From childhood we were told that the best gifts are those that are made with their own hands. But for adults, they have not lost their relevance. Especially when it comes to a thematic gift.
This master class will help you impress a lover of impressionism or just a connoisseur of art. In addition, a bottle of high-quality strong drink will never be superfluous.
For my work, I chose Vincent Van Gogh's Starry Night. I began to paint exactly a bottle of absinthe, as it was the artist’s favorite drink.
So, we need a bottle, a soft broad and hard thin brush, and the following colors: black, blue, blue, red, yellow, orange and white (I bought in a set).
For painting, it is best to use acrylic paints, as they will adhere perfectly to the glass, and additional varnishing will not be necessary at all. Do not wet the brush with water, because the thicker the paint, the better. So the product will have a texture.
It’s better to get rid of labels. If the bottle has a paper label, it can be easily removed by dipping the bottle in warm water.
If you need to clean the brush from paint, it is better to use alcohol.
Let's start with the darkest element of the picture. To do this, you need black, yellow and red paint. First, apply a layer of black, wait about 15-20 minutes.
Then, when the paint has already dried, we make red and yellow strokes in a chaotic manner, since we are still working on stylization and not reproduction.
Then gently apply a blue background. To ensure that the bottle is not transparent, at least two coats of paint will be needed. We apply the first layer in a circular motion of the brush, wait until the paint dries, and apply the second.
When the second blue layer of blue dries, we draw the stars with yellow paint. In order to prevent the stars from turning green on a blue background, add white paint.
Color the bottom of the bottle with blue. Next, with a thin brush, draw the contours of the houses using black paint.
Then leave the blue, yellow and white strokes on the bottle. Remember that before applying each new coat, let the previous one dry. In order to portray the moon, use orange paint.
When the bottle is completely dry, you can varnish it if you want a glossy finish.
This is what we should get in the end.
