The idea to make a money tree came to me by chance. For a long time I could not decide what gift to give my husband for his birthday. Maybe corny, but it was preferable to make a gift made by yourself, besides a money tree promises unheard of wealth. And I got to work.
In order to make a money tree we need:
- scanned and printed banknotes of any country and face value;
- a branch of any tree;
- gypsum;
- coins;
- glue "Moment"
- acrylic paints with a metallic tint and brushes.
Carefully cut the scanned banknotes.
We take a branch from a tree and paste prepared bills on it, starting from above.
When the bushes are ready to make a stand of plaster. To do this, take any small cup with beveled edges.
Inside the cup we put a piece of plastic bag
and cover it with a coin, this is done so that the film remains stationary.
Pour the diluted gypsum solution into the cup,
put a piece of cellophane on top
and press down with another cup.
We remove the upper piece of cellophane, and stick coins and money bushes into the plaster.
After 15 minutes, carefully pull out our tree from the mold and leave it to dry for a day.
Now put the tree in order. It’s more convenient for me to work with acrylic paints and brushes, so you can paint the most inaccessible places and not spoil the paper part of the tree. In addition, they do not smell at all and do not require much space to use.
If you do not want to work with acrylic paints, you can buy a can of gold paint. It can be purchased at a hardware store or auto parts store. To paint a tree stands on the balcony or in the porch, because the paint has a rather pungent smell.
When the paint dries, you will get a very beautiful and unusual handmade souvenir. Such a souvenir can be presented or put at home in a prominent place.
