In this review, the author demonstrates the manufacturing process of a compact bench-top bending machine.

The device is suitable for use in the home workshop and garage, and does not take up much space.

Using this machine, it will be possible to bend small blanks of sheet metal at an angle of 90 degrees.

First of all, the author cuts off two pieces of a round pipe. In this case, they act as guide racks.

Then you need to cut a piece of thick metal plate. To her, the author welds the racks from the pipe. Two large nuts will be put on the racks.

The main stages of work

At the next stage, the author cuts two metal plates, and welds them to the nuts.

Next, you will need to cut two more plates of different lengths. Then the author makes a punch out of a long plate.

First we weld the punch to a short plate, and then it will need to be welded to two plates with nuts.

After that, cut off a piece of screw of the desired length. We grind one of its horses to the desired diameter.

We put a piece of a rectangular plate on the screw, and then a nut (it must be scalded).

The resulting part is welded to the top of the plates, which are welded to the nuts. We clean the welds with a grinder.

Then we cut off another rectangular blank. We drill a hole in it, put on the screw and weld to the racks.

From a piece of steel round timber and a round metal bar, the master makes a handle in the upper part of the screw.

At the last stage, it remains only to make a matrix to bend sheet metal blanks at an angle of 90 degrees. To do this, use a piece of the usual building corner.

The master welds it to the base between the racks. Then you need to paint all the details of the structure.
