In this review, the master makes a small side table with his own hands. The main materials for its manufacture are wood and glass. Such a table looks very nice.
It should be noted that the table is quite compact in size, so it is perfect for small rooms.
First of all, the author prepares wood blanks for the manufacture of the table frame.
First you need to cut all the boards to size, then align the plane on the planer. In total, five blanks will be required.
The main stages of work
On the circular saw of four boards, the master makes grooves, and also chooses a quarter in them - for installing a glass countertop. The master processes the edges of the boards using a manual milling cutter.
Using the fifth board, the author connects all four legs of the side table. The lower part (base) of the legs can also be processed by hand milling.
If desired, small recesses can be made on the inside of the legs for a more aesthetic appearance.
The author covers the surface of the boards with colorless varnish on wood. You can also use paint, tinting impregnation or stain.
At the last stage, you will need to cut a piece of thick glass to size and insert it into a quarter - at the top of the legs.
