In this review, we bring to your attention a Vietnamese version of a home stove for cooking, made of brick and clay.

The Vietnamese stove is somewhat different from traditional Russian stoves - in particular, it provides for not horizontal but vertical loading of solid fuel.

Firewood, pellets, sawdust can be used as fuel. Although it should be noted that fuel pellets in those parts are expensive.

First of all, the master puts the first "layer" of brick - this is the base of the furnace. In this case, clay is used, not a cement mortar.

The main stages of work

In the central part of the base, the author fastens a square metal plate with often drilled holes and lays a piece of tube through which air will be pumped.

At the next stage of work, the master lays the second row of bricks around the perimeter of the base. Inside the furnace there is another contour of brick, but in a circle.

After that, the author spreads all the other rows of bricks, raising the masonry to the desired height.

After the last row of masonry is ready, the resulting "box" must be coated with clay from the inside and outside.

At the last stage, it remains only to make a stand for dishes. To do this, the author simply stacks four bricks (also on clay).

Details on how to make a stove for cooking from brick and clay with your own hands can be found in the video on our website.
