A burnt-out pump can simply be thrown into the trash. And you can, for example, do something useful for a household or a garage.

In this review, the author offers the idea of how to make an autonomous pump from a burned-out pump that can be used to pump various liquids.

First of all, the author disassembles the pump. You just need to disconnect the impeller from the housing. Then we get the "insides".

The main stages of work

At the next stage of the work, the author grinds an extension for the shaft on which the impeller is located. In one of the ends of the steel bar, it will be necessary to drill a hole to fit on the shaft.

To put the extension cord on the shaft, you need to heat its end a little (for example, using a gas burner).

After that we collect everything in the reverse order. We install the impeller in its "seat", then insert it into the housing.

At the last stage, it remains only to connect the hoses and insert the shaft extension into the screwdriver chuck.

We place the pump in a container with water or other liquid, after which we turn on the shurik and pump the liquid into a bottle or jar. Do you think it's worth it to take a steam bath to make such a pump?
