Even if you do not have your own forge, we believe that you should see this idea. In this review, the author makes a cool decorative element with his own hands from an ordinary steel square bar.
Those who are engaged in blacksmithing, for sure, will appreciate this idea. And to make this contraption is not so difficult as it might seem at first glance.
First of all, the author cuts off a piece of steel square bar of the desired size. After that, you will need to make markup on it.
The markup itself is performed not by eye, but in a certain order - this can be seen in more detail in the video that will be at the end of the article.
The main stages of work
At the next stage, with the help of a hacksaw for metal, the author makes a cut in the workpiece (according to the previously applied marking).
After that, we heat the workpiece in the hearth until it turns cherry red, then we clamp it in a vice and begin to twist it clockwise.
If the square has cooled down, heat it again and turn it on until we achieve the desired result. Then you need to align the workpiece in planes.
