To quickly, accurately and most importantly - evenly cut off a piece of drywall, the author suggests using a makeshift device. It can be made from scraps of pipes and metal.
This homemade design resembles a marking surface gage. To make it, you will need a piece of steel pipe with a diameter of 20 mm and a length of about 60 cm.
It will also be necessary to cut a piece of metal pipe with a diameter of 32 mm, the length of which is 7-8 cm. Additionally, other details will also be required. Which ones - we will tell during the article.
The main stages of work
First of all, it will be necessary to weld the M10 bolt, installing it perpendicular to a short pipe segment (32 mm in diameter). By the way, it is advisable to use a thick-walled pipe.
On the opposite side of the pipe segment, drill a hole with a drill with a diameter of 10 mm. At this point, the author welds a hex nut under a bolt with a diameter of 10 mm.
A small piece of a metal plate with an M5 bolt must be welded to a segment of the twentieth pipe (from one of the ends). Then the author cuts off the excess part of the bolt with a grinder.
At the last stage, it remains only to assemble a homemade device. To do this, you will additionally need two bearings, two nuts with a washer, a handle with an M10 pin and a piece of a blade for a stationery knife.
