In country houses, as well as in garages, chimneys made of steel pipe are usually used. Most often, a thick-walled pipe is used, which is poorly heated in the furnace furnace process.

As a result, condensation forms, which leads to soot sticking. Therefore, during the heating season, the chimney has to be cleaned often. In order not to constantly climb the roof, you can make a simple device.

Of the basic materials for making homemade products, you will need a piece of steel pipe with a diameter of about 10 mm, a section of a profile pipe, a part of a dumbbell, a brush for cleaning chimneys and a metal cable.

The main stages of work

First, cut off the profile of the desired length. We weld a piece of tube curved by an arc to its upper part. A little lower it will be necessary to weld a hook from a strip of metal, which will cling to the chimney pipe.

By the way, the profile is used with a cross section of 20 * 20 mm, length - 3.5 meters. Inside the tube with a diameter of 10 mm, you must pass a metal cable, at the end of which you need to fix a homemade brush and part of the dumbbell.

The profile pipe is attached to the chimney, and with the help of a cable the internal walls are cleaned of adhering soot. This is much more convenient than putting a ladder to climb onto the roof (or cleaning the chimney from the ladder itself).
