A home-made holder is useful in the home workshop for processing various small blanks of metal or wood. To make it, you will need two small pieces of steel square of the same length.

You will also need to cut off two rectangular plates. They need to drill one hole each. And then these two plates are welded to one of the square rods parallel to each other.

Next, the master drills a through hole in the second square (the diameter of the hole is the same as in the plates). Then all the parts are joined together with a bolt and nut. As a result, most of the homemade work is ready.

Holder manufacturing process

At the next stage, at the edges of the square rods, you need to make incisions with a grinder, and then bend the ends at an angle. Bend points are boiled.

On the inner side of the jaws, to clamp the parts, it is necessary to make notches with a file or with the help of angle grinders.

Then it remains only to weld two nuts to the squares and strip the welds with a grinder for a more attractive appearance.

The holder itself is installed in a vice, and thus fixes the part between the clamping jaws.
