Sometimes in a garage or home workshop you have to process long workpieces, and simple home-made racks are useful for this.

They can be made from a profile pipe, but profiles of three sizes will be needed. Also, homemade racks can be used for various locksmith work.

First of all, the master prepares the necessary work pieces. On one rack you need four legs-emphasis and two vertical "core". You will also need one support jumper, which is mounted horizontally to the main vertical stand.

The main vertical stand consists of two sections of profile pipes, which enter one into the other. To fix the inner pipe, you will need a regular bolt with nut. The nut itself is welded to a larger pipe.

The main stages of work

Profile pipes that will be used as thrust legs must be cut off with a grinder or at a band saw at an angle. Then the master welds them to the main central rack. The length of the blanks can be different - at your discretion.

At the next stage of work, the master welds the rest of the workpiece. He welded a piece of steel bar to the head of the bolt so that it would be more convenient to twist it. Then all the details of the construction must be painted. After the paint has dried, it remains only to collect everything back, and the racks are ready.

Such racks can be made as long as necessary, because there is nothing complicated in their design. You can watch more details on how to make simple home-made racks for various locksmith work with your own hands in the video on the website.
