Miniature clamp for welding

Using a homemade miniature clamp, you can fix two workpieces in the same plane. This can come in handy when doing welding work. To make such a clamp is very simple. This will require scraps of metal, which can be found in almost any home workshop.

To make a miniature clamp yourself, you will need a simple piece of steel corner with a length of approximately 60 mm. In a wide shelf we mark and drill a through hole.

After that, two nuts will need to be welded on both sides of the hole (one on the outside, the other on the inside). They will serve as guides for the clamping bolt.

Homemade manufacturing process

The next step will require two pieces of a square bar 4-5 cm long. We make cuts under them along the edges of the corner. It is advisable to use a drill for such small work (it is much more convenient to work with it), but you can try to carefully cut it with a small grinder.

Then we insert two squares into the resulting slots and scald. At the last stage of work, we clean the welds and screw a long bolt. You will also need a piece of a rectangular plate that will press two blanks. A thickness of approximately 2-3 mm will be sufficient.

Details about how to make a miniature clamp for welding with your own hands, you can see in the video on our website.
