Using such a home-made device, it is much more convenient to cut off workpieces from metal and wood at an angle of 90 degrees than just holding a grinder in your hands. The movable lever itself has two working "shoulders" - horizontal and vertical, which ensures the most even cut.

The frame of the structure is made of square shaped pipes, and it is attached to the platform, which can be made from a piece of plywood or other available materials. Now let's take a closer look at the process of manufacturing a universal mechanical lever.

The main stages of work

The first step is to make two "shoulders" with which you can move the grinder. To do this, four frames are welded from cut-to-size profile pipes - 2 small and 2 large, which are connected in pairs using pieces of a steel rod. To do this, holes of the desired diameter are drilled in them.

You will also need to weld one more frame from the profile - the central one, to which two “shoulders” (perpendicular to each other) will be fastened with a hinge. That is, they will work simultaneously, but in different planes.

At the last stage of work, a back gauge is made of three sections of profile pipes with side dimensions of 15x15 mm (for greater stability of the entire structure), as well as a mount for an angle grinder. See the step-by-step assembly process in the video on the site.
