The usual hacksaw for metal or wood, of course, is good, and very often helps out at home, in the workshop or garage. But only in some situations it is completely inconvenient to cut it - the hand quickly gets tired. Therefore, you can make a simple electric saw from improvised materials.
To make this home-made fixture, you will need a standard saw blade (if there is no whole, you can even use a chip), a round steel bar of suitable diameter, as well as a bearing and trim from sheet metal.
The main stages of work
On a steel rod, two “serifs” must be made using a file or a grinder. A bearing of suitable dimensions is installed and scalded in the resulting seat - it should be fixed on the shaft at a slight angle.
Then, from two pieces of metal with a thickness of 12-14 mm and a piece of plate, a platform under the shaft with a bearing is made. In the steel rod, it is necessary to drill small holes into which the stops are inserted - pieces of nail or steel wire.
From above, with the help of bolts, two pieces of a square bar are attached, between which there will be another segment of the steel square - a movable structural element. It is necessary to drill two holes in it along the width of the bearing, and at the end make a cut for the saw blade.
