Very often in the process of performing certain works, it becomes necessary to cut a round part from a rectangular sheet of metal. Many craftsmen using the angle grinder first cut the workpiece, and then process it on a lathe, giving a round shape of the desired diameter.

However, not everyone in the workshop has a turner, so today we will make an adapt for the grinder, with which you can cut various round parts and flanges from sheet steel. This homemade product is useful to everyone who does not have the opportunity to use a lathe or a plasma cutter.

The main stages of work

For this homemade product you will need any angle grinder, which is at hand in the workshop (dimensions and power in this case do not play any role). Then it will be necessary to make a special device for the grinder. To do this, take a long hairpin M10 and cut off from it two identical pieces 50 cm long.

Next, we weld together the studs with M12 nuts, in which it is necessary to drill a hole so that the M12 bolt passes freely. We weld another nut to a short section of the profile pipe. After that, with the help of bolts, we fasten the nut with the profile pipe to the casing of the angle grinder, and then weld them together for greater rigidity.

We put on the studs of the sleeve, to which then you need to weld another segment of the profile pipe. At the last stage, we carry out the final assembly of the entire structure. For more information on how to make such a homemade product, see the video on the site.
