In this article we will tell you how to make another useful home-made for the garage and home workshop - a compact sandblasting machine from an OP-35 series mobile powder fire extinguisher. This home-made sandblast is useful in cases where it is necessary to quickly and especially without straining to clean the surface of the metal from rust.

Sandblasting Process

First of all, it will be necessary to weld together two previously prepared parts, which then need to be welded into the neck of the fire extinguisher body. Next, we make markings in the upper part of the container, and then at the designated places we weld the fitting and the coupling 1/2 inch. Then it is necessary to drill holes with a diameter of 12 mm in the coupling and the fitting so that there is a message with the cylinder.

At the next stage, remove the wheels, cut off the metal stand, and weld the coupling to the center of the lower part of the fire extinguisher body. Then, through this welded-in sleeve, it will be necessary to drill a hole in the cylinder with a diameter of 14 millimeters. Next, we fasten prefabricated fitting elements to the fitting and two couplings.

We weld the legs to the bottom of the home-made structure and continue strapping further. Please note - in order for the hose from the fire extinguisher to come to the sandblasting device, it is necessary to weld a piece of half-inch tubing with a thread to the end of the hose. The whole process of assembling homemade sandblasting, see the video on the site.
