For a perfect order to prevail in the workshop (pantry, garage), it is necessary to provide places for storing small parts - bolts, nuts, screws, bearings, fitting elements, etc. For these purposes, you can make a compact metal stand with shelves for drawers.
The dimensions of the structure in each case are individual - the dimensions of the stand directly depend on the free area in the room. As the main materials we will use:
- profile pipes;
- sheet metal;
- steel corners.
The main stages of work
The first thing we do is markup and cut off three identical lengths of the profile pipe, then connect them together by welding in the form of a U-shaped frame. For this, it is convenient to use corner clamps.
It is necessary to weld steel plugs from short sections of the corner to the end sides of the profile pipes. Then we drill in the center of the corners of the hole and cut the thread into them. After that, cut off the horizontal jumpers. They are welded to the uprights at a slight angle. The result should be five jumpers under the shelves.
Assembly assembly
We weld two pieces of a corner with oblique slices to a frame from a square profile, and then a frame with jumpers installed at an angle. We make shelves from thin sheet steel, after which we weld them to the jumpers.
Then we grind the surface of the entire metal structure with a grinder and paint it. The result is a compact stand with shelves for drawers with small parts.
