If the lid on the jar does not lend itself in any way and does not unscrew by hand, then most often the problem is solved in a radical way. Namely, they use a kitchen knife, with which the edges of the lid are slightly poked (in a circle around the rim), they let in air and only then unscrew it.

This method is working, but far from safe - with careless movement or strong pressure, you can easily get hurt. How to avoid injuries and unscrew the "tight" cover?
In fact, everything is simple. Practical tools are used in hardware stores that are designed to safely unscrew the screw cap.

In order not to spend money, such a device that is structurally simple in design can also be made independently from improvised materials. For this homemade product you will need a stud of suitable length, a pair of nuts and two aluminum tubes.

The process of making a universal opener

The pin must be bent so that a U-shaped part is obtained, and then the bend point must be heated with a gas burner. After that, we put a heat-shrink tube on the hairpin and heat it with a hairdryer, and also we wind two nuts of a suitable diameter.

Next, cut off two aluminum tubes of the desired length, put them on the ends of the studs and fix them with two nuts with a plug. Now the homemade can opener is ready for use.

To work with such a tool is very simple - we clamp the lid and unscrew it. Moreover, this does not require much effort. This homemade product will be useful in any kitchen.
