What can be done with a convenient and necessary thing when it breaks down - of course, try to repair it. Repairing plastic at home is a simple task if you know what to do. A broken scissor handle can be repaired in two steps.
First, the broken piece is fixed with superglue in its place. When the glue has dried it is necessary to melt the crack with an ordinary soldering iron, using a little trick. To hold the solder, you can reinforce the plastic at the junction with a piece of copper wire. It is necessary to cut a piece of wire, without insulation, about 1.5 cm long and gently fuse it with a soldering iron to the joint of the plastic.
After the cause is fused, the surface can be “smoothed out” with a hot sting or sanded after cooling. Be careful: superglue heated by a soldering iron gives off very corrosive smoke!
