From the simplest objects, you can make interesting and unusual home decorations. Take, for example, cardboard rolls left over from paper towels or toilet paper. From such a simple, and seemingly absolutely unnecessary material, you can create a huge number of really interesting objects: small vases, coasters, lamps, lanterns, children's toys and much more. But probably the most interesting idea is to create frames for mirrors or photos. Simple coloring of a cardboard in black color creates an illusion of openwork forging from iron.

Here is the easiest way to decorate the simplest and cheapest photo frame with ordinary toilet paper rolls.
You will need about a dozen rolls

We mark them in equal sections of 1 cm.

We cut the rolls into strips.

Feel free to crush them in half, it is this form of cardboard that we will need for the frame.

We divide all strips into three parts. We put one third part aside, from the remaining two parts we make the initial blanks.

To do this, lubricate one strip with glue, just below the middle. See the photo.

Such a branch should turn out.

Next, you need to create an even circle. The easiest way is to use a round plate for this.

Carefully put the leaves in a kind of wreath. After all the details have found their place, we begin to gradually glue them together.

Try to make the gluing place as large as possible. The stability of your product depends on this.
When all the parts are glued together, the plate can be removed. We don’t need it anymore.

For greater originality, you can glue the third row of leaflets. Only glue them preferably in the opposite direction, like this:

The main work is done. It remains to wait until the glue dries and you can start painting.
Any black paint will do: gouache or acrylic. Acrylic, however, dries faster and less smeared. See how the frame changes:

Paint all areas very carefully, leaving no spaces. Both outside and inside the circle.

Painted rolls already take the image of a strong openwork made of iron

But not quite yet. To give absolute realism, you can use silver paint. It is necessary to wipe with a sponge with silver in places "saw", that is, the front edge of the frame and quite a bit with light strokes in especially visible places.

It remains to stick a photo frame to our product from fake forging and you can hang it on the wall.

In the most prominent place of the apartment.
