Simple bird feeder

“I don't want to go to the garden!” The son whispered. Short pause (to draw more air into the lungs). Suddenly - instead of the usual morning cry and hysteria - the baby wept bitterly. For a second I was transported to his place and felt how bad and scary he was. I don’t know who I comforted, myself or the child, when I said: “Do you want to tell you a secret?” Huge walnut tears stopped dripping on pajamas. Yeah, I got interested ... A lot of birds live in your kindergarten, ”I began confidently. There was no definite plan, I just took time. Now it’s getting colder every day, and the birds need to eat as much as possible so as not to freeze. The son listened carefully, which means he calmed down. We begin to dress. The main thing is not to be silent, to chatter, so that you don’t think about your bitter share again. Birds eating mountain ash? ”The child suggested. Sure! Do you know what birds love the most? Sunflower seeds! And tits are fat. As a result of long mental work, the child finally issued:
Where do they get them? Mountain ash grows on trees, and seeds and fat? Their good people are poured into the feeders. Tell me how to make the easiest?
My dear, I promised that in the evening we will certainly make such a craft. Here is the story:
1. We need: two empty, well-washed packs of juice (1 liter), scissors, a stapler and a piece of durable twine, wire, in a word, something that is at hand and it’s not a pity. In my case, these are leather laces.
2. One of the boxes will be the bottom of the feeder, the other the roof.
Cooking the bottom. Cut a rectangular hole in one of the large walls of the box. The distance from the long side should be at least 1 cm so that the birds have a place to stay. We put the second box ("roof") on its side and cut its sides in the middle in the following sequence: long side, short, then long again. Here is the result:
If the boxes are of different sizes, the “roof” can be cut out the bottom side, as can be seen in the photo:
3. In four places we fasten the box with a stapler. If it is not at hand, you can use wire, thread.
4. The final touches. Drainage - or four holes in the "bottom" of the feeder (we make them from the inside). Fasteners - or four holes along the edges in the upper rectangle of the "roof".
Result!
Such a feeder is especially attractive to bluebirds. Therefore, we buy lard with the child, and leave early every morning to feed the hungry birds. To my surprise and joy, we do without scandals. Nearly…
