To make a wonderful gift to a loved one does not necessarily leave the house. You can decorate, for example, a plastic box that previously served as a case for a watch or a removable panel of a car radio. An old box with the active participation of stationery, the remnants of velvety fabric and rhinestone in half an hour will turn into an amazingly beautiful gift.
Materials for work:

Box - 1 pc.;
Velvet fabric in size of the inner part of the lid multiplied by 2;
Gouache paint “bronze”, glue “liquid nails”, narrow stationery tape, dishwashing sponge, alcohol-containing liquid, matches, brush, black marker, rhinestones, tweezers.

Stages of the work:

The first stage: preparation of the front surface.

Thoroughly wash the box, remove all the stickers, degrease with an alcohol-containing liquid.

We glue the sides of the box with a narrow tape around the perimeter. Carefully smooth the edges so that the paint does not get under the adhesive tape.

The second stage: the decor of the front side of the box.

On the edges of the whole box we spill out a sponge with bronze paint.

Choose the picture you like and transfer it to the surface of the box (in this case, a napkin for decoupage was used).

We increase the edge decor, slightly adjusting it to the applied drawing.

Paint the middle of the lid with paint. The edges of continuous painting, having stepped back a bit, are decorated with dot painting. This can be done using a sushi stick, dipping it in paint and putting down 2-3 points.

In the central part of the solid, we make decoration in the form of an inscription with a marker or black paint.

The back of the box is completely punctured with bronze paint. For a more uniform coating, it is necessary to impose several layers, having dried each.

On large leaves we draw black veins.

The third stage: decorate with rhinestones.

Glue small rhinestones on the bitmap. To fasten the surface and the rhinestone, we use glue "liquid nails", dipping the stick first in the glue, then attaching it to the surface of the bitmap.

For large point curves we glue larger rhinestones.

We varnish the front side of the box and the bottom. Sushim.

Carefully remove the tape, taking care not to damage the edges of the picture.

Fourth stage: decorate the inside of the box.

Degrease and clean the inside of the box.

From paper we make a pattern of the bottom of the upper and lower parts. We apply the pattern on the wrong side of the fabric and circle the marker. Cut out.

Gently burn the edges of the fabric to prevent it from shedding.

Fill the decorated surface with glue "liquid nails", distribute it evenly over the entire surface, carefully coat the edges around the perimeter. The glue layer should not be very thick, otherwise the fabric will get wet and become “stone”. We apply fabric and smooth it, gently pressing.

We remove the excess glue with a stick and carefully press the joint of the fabric and the box.

To remove the clarity of the boundaries of the transition of the tissue, we use a marker to tint its edges around the entire perimeter. Since the fabric is fleecy, we move the marker in the direction of the pile. Otherwise, the pile will be bent and the drawing will turn out to be “shaggy” uneven.
