Plastic Bottle Earrings

An interesting solution for the partial disposal of plastic bottles is to make ... earrings out of them. Such jewelry looks no worse than ordinary plastic jewelry, and if everything is done carefully, then perhaps better.
We will need:
Shvenzy - 2 pcs.,
Beads - 2 pcs.,
Plastic bottles of different colors - 2-3 pcs.,
Wire,
Scissors.

Wash bottles, remove caps. Cut the tapering neck from the bottle, fold it so that the walls touch and cut into strips of the same width.

The width of the stripes is arbitrary, but it must be borne in mind that the thinner the strip, the more "openwork" earrings will turn out. Each earring requires 2-3 strips. Colored plastic (brown, dark green) looks best, but you can add transparent stripes to it.

Combine the cut parts, fold them with an eight (or an infinity sign, as you like) and fold them so that the edges are together.

Secure the edges with wire. Holding the wire hold the plastic over an open flame, for example, above a gas burner. Do not bring close to the fire! It is enough to keep at a distance, the plastic will still begin to curl. For uniform melting, the wire with the future earring must be turned. Compare the blank before and after.

Remove the wire from the obtained blanks and replace it with a thinner, decorative one. String a bead on the wire and attach the end of the wire to the stud. Shvenzy are usually sold in sets with beads. They can be removed from old catkins or made independently from wire.

Non-standard earrings are obtained, to which beads can also be made. You can cut the plastic and fold it in different ways - as you like. For example, you can melt the middle or only the edges. In addition, when hot, plastic blanks are very pliable, they can be formed at your discretion, twisted into a spiral, straightened in the shape of a flower, etc.
