In this review, the author decided to make a do-it-yourself rocket furnace for use on his own territory.

Usually, craftsmen use profile pipes and sheet metal scraps to make rocket furnaces, but in this case, the author uses the tail of the M117 HE bomb.

First of all, the author, using a gas burner, burns paint on the surface of the tail of the bomb.

After that, we wash off all the formed carbon deposits with water (for convenience, the author uses a garden hose).

After the "water procedure", you can proceed to grinding the metal. Using angle grinders with a petal disk, we clean the surface to a shine.

The main stages of work

Inside the "rocket" (in the fuel chamber) you need to weld the grate. In this case, the author uses a metal napkin holder, or rather one of its side walls. But you can use something else.

First, the author welds inside the body (at the right level) two blanks from a metal strip crosswise, then a grate.

The author cuts out a circle of suitable diameter from sheet metal. With the help of a grinder, we clean it so that there are no burrs left.

A circle is welded to the base of the furnace. Welds will then need to be cleaned with a grinder.

At the next stage, the author makes a marking and cuts a hole in the body using a plasma cutter.

As you understand, this will be the loading "window" of the fuel chamber.

To the upper part, on which the dishes will be installed, the author welds four steel balls. Although the stand is better to make higher. And what do you think?
