Typically, the visor above the gate is made of a wooden or metal crate and roofing material: tiles, profiled sheets, metal tiles, slate, ondulin, etc.

But Vietnamese builders believe that the visor above the gate should be exclusively made of concrete. So what? Reliable and durable.

The first step is the installation of the crate. Then we nail boards close to each other to it. As you already understood - we make the formwork.

The main stages of work

At the next stage, it will be necessary to cut the reinforcement of the required size - we will make a reinforcing frame (without it, the concrete will not be so strong).

The bars of the reinforcement are interconnected using a knitting wire. To do this, you may need a simple homemade hook for knitting reinforcement.

If you do not know how to bend the reinforcement, then we recommend that you read the article: a universal fixture for bending square and reinforcement.

Then we nail the bottom and side boards so that the concrete does not leak out of the formwork.

Well, then everything is simple: knead the concrete mortar and put it into the formwork. First, we overlay the desired thickness, then smooth it.
