If you often have to process wooden workpieces, then for a more productive work, you can use a homemade electric drill nozzle. With its help, you can perform various operations on wood.

In this case, we will focus on the manufacture of a spherical mill. And although such a device is sold in stores, if you have a lathe, you can try to make it yourself.

The first step is to make a ball with a stem from a metal round diameter of 30 mm. For this work, you will need a lathe. However, you can order such a part to a familiar turner (and indeed to any turner).

The main stages of work

After the ball with the rod is almost ready, the author brings the spherical "head" to perfect condition with the help of a home-made pattern. You can make it from a wooden bar and an old saw blade.

At the next stage, the author makes a marking on the ball at an angle of 40 degrees, after which he drills a through hole.

Next, it will be necessary to cut the ball in half according to the previously marked markings. And for this, the author uses a manual hacksaw for metal. It is dangerous to cut a grinder - a cutting disc can clamp.

In the other half from the outside you need to make a sweat under the screw head. From a circular saw, the author makes a circular cutter sharpened in one direction, installs it between two halves, and then fixes everything with a screw.
