In this review, the author shows in detail how to make a useful fixture for a circular saw - a homemade carriage for a sawing table. It has an adjustable emphasis for workpieces, and is designed for cross cutting.

To make a carriage, the author uses plywood. You will also need a guide along which the emphasis for workpieces will move.

Actually, there is nothing complicated in the manufacture of this homemade product, so we will consider only the main stages of work.

Carriage Making Process

First of all, it is necessary to cut a sheet of plywood 18-20 mm thick into blanks of the desired size. Then in the base you need to select a groove and install a guide in it.

At the next stage, the author glues two strips of plywood. Then the base is attached to this workpiece (at right angles).

After the base you will need to make a cut for a circular saw. The guide must be cut into two parts, and then screwed to the base with self-tapping screws, inserting into the groove.

In the end, it remains only to make the emphasis itself for the workpieces and stick a measuring tape with divisions on the base. Homemade ready.

If desired, you can cover the plywood with mineral oil or simply paint. For more information on how to make a carriage for a cutting table with an emphasis, see the video on our website.
