If there is a need to connect two tubes together (aluminum or steel), but there is no welding at hand, then you can use an alternative option. An electric drill and a grinder (or a band saw) will be required from the tool.

Experienced craftsmen, for sure, know about this method. But for beginners, this information will definitely not be superfluous. Especially when the pipes need to be connected here and now, and there is no time to look for a welding machine or a friend-welder.

The first step is to cut off two pieces of pipe that need to be connected. The cut should be smooth and accurate (it is best done on a miter or cutting machine). Moreover, the angle does not matter - it can be either a right angle or at 45 degrees, or any other.

After that, the author cuts two blanks from a thick plate (steel or aluminum). In each of them it will be necessary to drill two holes (one large and one small).

We connect two tubes together

The two parts from the plate must be joined together using a bolt, washer and nut. Then pieces of the pipe are put on the device, the desired angle is set and marks are made where the holes must be drilled.

Then everything is very simple - we put on the pipes again and fix them with two metal pins of the desired diameter, driving them into the drilled holes with a hammer. And all the excess is cut off by the grinder.
