In this review, the author shows how easily and quickly you can make wooden wing knobs that are useful for any homemade products or appliances.
For their manufacture, you can use both plywood with a thickness of 16-18 mm, and blanks from wood or other material. Before starting work, you will need to perform some operations.
First of all, the author makes a template from a piece of thick cardboard (you can also use fiberboard). A square is cut out, after which you need to draw a circle inside it. The diameter of the circle can be different as you need - in this case it is 5.5 cm.
Then the marking is performed, and it will also be necessary to make holes: one in the center of the circular template and six in its circumference, at equal distance from each other.
The process of making wing pens
Next, the template is transferred to a suitable workpiece from plywood or wood (or other material that you use for this).
At the next stage of work on a drilling machine, using a drill with a diameter of 16 mm, the master drills six holes in a circle around the workpiece. Then he cuts the winged handle with a crown on a tree with a diameter of 54 mm.
Then the workpieces will need to be sanded on a grinding machine, and their “cloves” should be machined with a mill. Then, each handle will need to glue a wooden "round".
