This invention cannot be called new, it is sold in stores, however, firstly, it is unreasonably expensive. And, secondly, it has a slightly unfinished design. A store jig, of course, helps with drilling tiles or glass, but only partially.

A self-made guide on suction cups with a slipper in the lower part fully satisfies all the needs of someone who needs to make a through hole in a smooth hard surface (glass, ceramics, etc.) using a core drill.

To make this device you will need a piece of metal (an old saw blade will do), a clamp, two suction cups, an old slipper.

The main stages of work

On the saw blade, a marker marks the shape of the conductor, cut out by a grinder along the contours. In the same way, an inner hole is drilled. The outer and inner edges must be sanded.

Then an additional part is cut out of metal, which will be located on top of the product itself, fasten it at the end of all work.

On one side of this device are suction cups, on the other - the master glues a piece of slipper. When all the parts are connected, the latter is attached to the structure of the retractable element, which subsequently serves to fix the crown.

With a homemade guide, you can drill ceramic tiles or glass with water so that the crown itself does not overheat.

The design is reliable and simple, while in the case of a store conductor, you will need to additionally buy a device so that you can drill with water.
