Using a universal mount, you can securely fix the chainsaw so that it is convenient to saw small branches for firewood. You can make such a device from simple and affordable materials.

And first of all, it will be necessary to carve two “adapters” from a steel hex bar on a lathe.

Then it will be necessary to cut off a small piece of a square-shaped profile pipe, and then drill a hole in it (in the profile edge). A nut is then welded to this hole, into which a long bolt is inserted.

The main stages of work

A piece of steel round bar is welded to the top of the bolt (to the cap). The result should be a collar. Then the master cuts off two more pieces of the profile, and welds an integral structure from these blanks.

At the next, welds need to be cleaned with a grinder. After that, a housing with a bearing and a shaft is welded to the profile.

Then it will be necessary to cut a piece of the corner - drill holes in it (in one of the shelves) and make grooves. The corner is attached to the main structure by welding. The grooves act as a mount for the "landing" of the chainsaw.

At the last stage of the work, the assembly of the device and painting (if desired) are carried out. The process of manufacturing a universal mount for fixing a chainsaw with your own hands is recommended to watch in the video on the site.
