If you have an old bucket lying around in the summer cottage or in the garage, whose bottom and walls have not yet rusted through, give it a second life - make a melting mini-oven. In such a furnace, it will be possible to quickly melt aluminum and lead.

The first step is to align the walls of the bucket if they are curved or concave. Then we take in our hands a grinder with a petal circle or a brush for metal, and we clean the surface of rust and dirt.

In those places where it is difficult to crawl with a grinder, you can go through the grinding nozzle for a drill or screwdriver. Also, if necessary, you can use the usual sandpaper and a manual brush for metal.

After we put the old metal bucket in order, we proceed to the manufacture of the melting furnace itself.

The main stages of work

We mark and drill a hole in the wall of the bucket at a distance of about 10-15 cm from the bottom. If there is no suitable drill at hand, the hole of the desired diameter can be cut using a cutting disc for the drill. Alternatively, you can drill holes of small diameter in a circle, and then knock out a piece of metal with a hammer.

Then you need to wash the bucket well from the inside and insert a piece of large diameter pipe or a smaller plastic bucket into it. From gypsum, sand and water (ratio - 2: 1: 1), we knead the liquid solution, which is poured into the bucket.

The detailed process of making a homemade melting mini oven from an old metal bucket can be seen in the video on our website.
