Such an original stand with a holder, made in the form of a snake, is designed for a torch of a semi-automatic welding machine. It is securely attached to a metal workbench with neodymium magnets, and also stands stably on a regular wooden table.

To make this home-made stand with a holder, you will need three steel round logs of different diameters (8, 10 and 12 mm). First you need to decide on the main dimensions, after which we cut one piece from each bar and weld them together. Then you can proceed to the main part of the work.

The process of making the stand

After welding three segments of a steel bar of different diameters (as a result, a steel "pointer" should be obtained), we apply weld points along the entire length of the workpiece that will imitate snake flakes. Then we process the surface with a grinding wheel.

At the next stage, we bend the thick end of the “pointer” in a vise, and 2 nuts are welded on the sides - as you might have guessed, it will be a snake head with eyes. Next, we heat the workpiece with a gas burner and in the middle we make two turns. We make a cobra hood from a piece of metal, and then weld it in the upper part of the bar.

We process the steel "body" of the snake with the help of an engraver, trying to make it so that everything is as effective as possible. At the last stage of work, the base of the stand is made, from the bottom of which neodymium magnets are fixed.
