From empty plastic bottles for soda and mineral water, you can make convenient and practical rectangular-shaped cups. They are suitable for seedlings, as well as the storage of various household trifles and stationery.

To make rectangular cups from round 1.5 liter bottles, you will need a special shape of the right size (you can make it yourself), as well as a building hair dryer. The optimum temperature for heating the bottle is about 440 degrees. Now we proceed directly to the manufacture of the plastic cups themselves.

The main stages of work

First of all, turn on the hair dryer and set the desired temperature. Then cut off the neck of the bottle and insert the rectangular shape inside until it stops. It is necessary to heat the bottle from the top, gradually moving down. We warm the bottom well and press it to a flat surface.

Next, cut off the upper part with scissors and remove the finished cup from the mold. Due to the fact that during the heating process the plastic bottle is compressed approximately twice, the product is quite durable and tough. Rectangular cups are inserted into each other, which allows you to "build" of them several tiers.

This is very convenient as you can save space in the room. For more information on how to make rectangular cups from plastic bottles at home, see the video on our website. Write in the comments where and how to use such containers.
