If at home (in the workshop or garage) old pliers are lying around idle, do not throw it away - give them a "second life". They will make a multifunctional and very practical hand tool that is useful to you on the farm.

The main advantage of homemade is its simplicity. To make this simple, but useful home-made device, you do not have to reinvent the wheel. Work will take no more than 20-30 minutes. Moreover, you can use even those pliers with broken lips.

Manufacturing process: milestones

We take the grinder in our hands and cut off the lips of the pliers. Then we grind the protruding parts on the grinding disk - you should get a round head in which then we drill a through hole. There is no need to "catch" the center, so you can use a conventional manual electric drill together with a drilling machine.

Grind the edges of the handles on a cone and slightly sharpen on the grinding disk. We put heat-shrink tubes on the handles, cut off the desired length and heat them with a building hairdryer (or a regular lighter). Thus, we get a universal 3-in-1 multifunctional home-made product.

Using a round through hole, you can direct the nails, and then immediately bite off their hats. Similarly, you can do with self-tapping screws. Side slots can also be used with benefit - for example, to clamp the same nails, so as not to hold them in your hand. And the pointed edges on the handles come in handy for marking metal.
