It often happens that you need to drill a hole in the wall or cut a wooden rail to the size, and there is no outlet nearby (for example, in the entrance, utility room, in the attic or in the basement).
In this case, a simple fixture from a regular LED bulb with a standard base is useful.
With the help of such an “adapter”, you can connect an electric drill, a jigsaw, a grinder, as well as other manual power tools. Moreover, you can literally make a socket out of an LED light bulb within 20-30 minutes.
The main stages of work
First of all, we disassemble the LED bulb and remove all the "insides". In a plastic flask, it is necessary to melt the hole for the wire. To do this, you can use a conventional soldering iron or just heat a steel rod of a suitable diameter.
We pass a copper stranded wire from the extension cord into the melted hole, the ends of which need to be tinned, and then soldered to the inside of the base of the LED bulb.
Please note that a special solder paste or hydrochloric acid etched with zinc must be used for soldering. Alternatively, acetylsalicylic or citric acid is suitable.
An additional LED must be connected to the wires in parallel, which will be a light indicator of the presence of voltage. The joints must be insulated with ordinary electrical tape or heat-shrink tubing.
After that, put a new "stuffing" inside the case and put on the flask. This is how a “mobile” outlet is made of an LED light bulb, which will help out where there is no way to connect to ordinary outlets.
