One of the most effective ways to protect your home from hacking and unauthorized entry is alarm. However, modern systems are expensive, so you can use the budget option - make a home alarm yourself.

Some components for this homemade product will have to be ordered on the Internet or bought in a radio electronics store, but they are inexpensive. The process of creating a home alarm does not take much time.

Materials and milestones

We fix the steel bell from a mechanical bell to the base (plywood, chipboard or others) using a threaded screw. Next to the bell, we install a DC motor, putting it on a hot glue.

We cut two rectangular plates from plastic, drill holes in them and connect them together using bolts, washers and nuts. We glue the resulting part to the motor shaft.

We fix a piece of plastic on the shaft of the gear motor with glue, and the engine itself is glued to a wooden platform and mounted on the base of the whole structure. Then we connect the positive contact of the DC motor and the shaft of the gear motor with an ordinary spring.

The assembly process of the entire structure

You will also need to install a bent wire frame and battery on the base. At the next stage of work, we install the control chip and the motion sensor (laser diode), for the power of which you need to use an additional battery.

We install all working elements of the system and securely fasten on the base. For a detailed process of making a wireless home alarm, see the video on our website.
