To remove bearings from the shaft, as well as for other metal work, a mini hydraulic press is always useful in a home workshop.
It can be made from a car jack of 3 tons, a building corner and a profile pipe.
The first step is to cut the workpieces from the corner and the profile pipe. It will take two square profiles and six corner sections.
Sliced workpieces will need to be cleaned with a grinder for subsequent painting.
The main stages of work
At the next stage, all six segments from the building corner will need to be painted.
In profile pipes, which will act as racks, it is necessary to drill holes.
You will also need to make a support rail for the jack from a piece of metal strip. At the edges, the author welds two pieces of the channel to it - the width of the racks from the profile pipe.
Two springs are attached to the stop rail so that it quickly returns to its original position.
Putting all the structural elements together. Large corners are bolted to the racks: in the upper part and in the middle. Smaller corners are attached to the bottom of the racks for better stability.
