If you came across an electric motor from a washing machine, it can be used to good use. For example, why not make a manual router for a garage or home workshop?

First of all, it is necessary to put the drill chuck on the motor shaft. To do this, grind the shaft to the desired diameter, and also drill a hole in the cartridge itself.

At the next stage, it is necessary to take the shock absorbers of the car, drill mounting holes in them, drain the oil and attach to the motor housing. They will act as guides.

Next, the author cuts off a piece of a rectangular plate with a grinder and cuts a square hole in it. Then the shock absorber rods will need to be welded to this steel plate.

Then you need to make a protective casing for the cartridge. This is in case the cartridge suddenly flies off the shaft so that it does not fly in an unknown direction. Well, in general, it is better to use not a drill, but a collet chuck.

In the end, it remains only to make a mechanism for adjusting the milling cutter in height and install the power button (it can be removed from the old electric drill).
