If you wish, even from ordinary materials you can make a truly exclusive thing that will take its rightful place in the home interior. In this case, we are talking about a wall clock. The main materials for their manufacture are natural wood (pine, beech, oak or other) and epoxy. The design itself is quite simple, so every master can do a wall clock.

Wall clock manufacturing process

First of all, from a log of suitable diameter you need to saw off a round "pancake" and cut a hole in it. Ideally smooth edges are not needed in this case - on the contrary, it is better to make them torn or to be with protrusions. To do this, you can use any improvised tools that are at hand.

At the edges of the workpiece, apply automotive or conventional silicone sealant (you can also use plasticine), after which we apply it with this side to a flat surface on which you first need to put a plastic wrap or a simple bag. For reliability, we fix a wooden "pancake" with clamps.

Epoxy filling and wood processing

In the next step, we mix the epoxy resin with the hardener, add a little color and fill the inner part of the workpiece. First, fill in until about the middle, then after drying the first layer, fill in the rest. Next, we drill a central hole for attaching the clockwork and select a landing under it, after which we grind the surface with sandpaper.

After machining, coat the surface with varnish. Then mark 12 points at an angle of 30 degrees with respect to each other and hammer in them small decorative nails. We fix the clockwork, install the copper plate and hands, and the wall clock is ready.
