To prevent the occurrence of shrinkage cracks on the walls of aerated concrete blocks, reinforcement is performed. The rows of masonry must be reinforced over a certain distance (that is, not every row) around the perimeter of the "box" of the house.
To do this, horizontal gates are made in aerated concrete blocks from above, into which reinforcement is then laid. A commonly used wall chaser is commonly used. But what if, for some reason, it is not (or, for example, forgotten at home, in the country or at another facility)?

The main stages of work
To make a chamfer with your own hands, you will need 2 boards that need to be fastened to each other at an angle of 90 degrees with screws. For greater reliability and rigidity, you can also use a piece of metal corner.
Then two handles are screwed to one of the boards so that it is convenient to work with a chipper. The pens themselves can be made from wooden blocks.
In the board, which will rest on the horizontal surface of the aerated concrete block, at a distance of about 7-8 mm from the edge, five self-tapping screws must be twisted.
The result is a very simple, cheap and practical tool to use, which will help you to make straight strobes in the block for laying reinforcement.
