During the repair process in a house or apartment, such a nuisance can happen: for example, they drilled holes in the wall and accidentally got into a polypropylene pipe. And what to do in this situation?

The simplest and most reliable repair method is to cut the pipe and connect it using a sleeve. However, for this you need to remove the wall tile and disassemble part of the wall, so that there is a place for the soldering iron where to turn around.

Agree that this option is not the best. However, there is a more convenient and practical way. You can make a homemade nozzle for a soldering iron of PP pipes, with which you can easily put a reliable "patch" on the drilled hole in the polypropylene pipe.

The main stages of work

As a basis for making a homemade nozzle, you will need an old nozzle from a welding iron of a suitable diameter (choose the size of the PP pipe).

First of all, it will be necessary to cut this nozzle into two halves using a grinder or a hand saw. Then the author processes the cut-off place with a drill.

You will also need a piece of aluminum strip - it is necessary to drill a through hole in it. Also, the hole is drilled in half of the old nozzle.

At the last stage of the work, it remains only to install a homemade nozzle for repair on the welding iron, and you can proceed with the installation of the “patch”.
