What kind of watches are not sold today: men's and women's, electronic, mechanical and quartz, made of metal or plastic ... But, perhaps, you will not find wooden wrist watches on sale. But you can do them yourself. Yes, you have to work hard, but the end result is worth it.

Work stages

For this exclusive homemade product you will need some ready-made elements: a protective glass, a clockwork and a latch from a wrist bracelet. And for the manufacture of other parts, it is desirable to use a tree of valuable species.

Two wooden blanks of different thicknesses and preferably different shades need to be glued together, then give the resulting part a rectangular shape and drill a hole in the center for the diameter of the glass.

Next, you need to saw off the corners, giving the workpiece the shape of a classic watch. Then you will need to work a bit with a chisel and a file, and then also process the part with sandpaper - so that everything would be, if not perfect, then at least as smooth and smooth as possible.

The next step is to cut the blanks for the manufacture of a wooden bracelet. Here, you also have to use a chisel and sandpaper - manual work after all. After the parts for the bracelet are cut, they must be connected to each other.

Watch assembly

The most exciting moment is the assembly of all the elements together. It is necessary to check and adjust everything so that there are no even hints of a "factory" marriage. By the way, the dial of the watch is also made of wood, only thin as paper.

One thing is for sure - such a watch will look strictly and stylishly in any situation, and besides, it is a great birthday present. See the video on our website for the detailed process of making wooden watches.
