Jeans are so durable and beautiful material that throwing them away simply does not raise the hand. I am saving them, collecting them from acquaintances or friends. I sew different things from them. So I decided to make pillowcases on the couch. I think they can revive the boring interior.
Jeans pillows can be sewn in different ways and in different sizes. To spend less precious jeans, I decided to make patchwork, decorating them with flowers. It will be girlish pillows. I will sew two pieces at once.

For the manufacture of pillowcases, I prepared this:
  • denim trim;
  • a pair of jeans (always always wash and tear them beforehand);
  • two lightnings (I have blue hidden);
  • 0.5 to 1.0 m lining fabric (I have unpainted calico);
  • blue thread for sewing.

Instruments:
  • simple scissors and zigzag;
  • needles for chipping;
  • iron;
  • sewing machine.

Sewing jeans pillowcases

When I still have trimmed jeans, I also cut something out of them. Here we already found 10 by 10 cm squares. I assembled them into a large 4 by 4 square.

I sewed it.

First, I sewed into strips of 4 squares, smoothing the seams. Then I sewed stripes between each other in 4 pieces. Again smoothed the seams. The finished form turned out to be 36 by 36 cm squares. All the seams I make are 1 cm wide.
From the front of the jeans leg, I cut 4 strips 7 cm wide, 36 cm long. Then 4 more strips of the same width, but 46 cm long. I sewed short strips to two opposite sides of the squares. Smoothed. Sewed long strips to the remaining sides. Smoothed. I don’t process the seams, as I will cover them with lining fabric.
You can start the decor. To do this, I randomly cut almost oval leaves with scissors. I cut six strips about 35-40 cm long, 4-5 cm wide (a little cone). She folded them in half and wrapped the roses. There are many ways to make a flower out of fabric; I chose one of the simple ones when the strip twists into a rose. On the reverse side, the flower is fixed with threads manually so that it does not fall apart.

I approximately lay out the composition of three roses and leaves on the prepared square. If the jeans stretch a lot, I strengthen it on the back with adhesive non-woven. Only the part where the volume application will be sewn.

First I attach on a typewriter along the edge of a rose flower, then leaves. I sew the leaves not along the contour, but veins. When both applications are ready, I set aside the blanks. I begin to make the back side of pillowcases.
The upper parts turned out to be 46 by 46 cm in size. From the jeans legs of the second jeans I cut out two rectangles of 46 by 40 cm (just the width of the jeans did not allow me to do more). From the remaining back halves of the first jeans I cut out two strips measuring 46 by 10 cm.

I sew a zipper between the rectangle and the strip. Although the zipper is hidden, I sewed it so that it was covered with a cloth. After stitching the zipper, you should get a 46 by 46 cm square, as well as the front of the pillowcase. I just cut off the excess fabric, aligning the size.

From coarse calico I cut out two equally sized squares. I fold the jeans blanks "face" to each other, cover the ugly part with seams coarse calico. I chop everything off with needles around the perimeter. I am sewing on the sewing machine twice. I process the edge on the overlock. If it is not, you can use any machine seam (zigzag, for example) for overcasting.
It remains to unscrew the pillowcase and put it on the pillow. Or just fill it with holofiber, sintepon, foam rubber.

Jeans came in handy and the interior was updated.
